From the moment you submit your business plan to Enisa, you are in Spain legally as your documents are being reviewed. Your project will be reviewed and assessed within 90 days, although in practice this is often faster and most applicants receive approval within 60 days.

After approval of the project, it is necessary to submit a package of documents to the Ministry of Integration, Social Security and Migration. The official review period is up to 3 months, but often the process takes less time.

Within 2 weeks after a positive decision is made, you will be issued a plastic resident card, which is an official confirmation of your status and replaces a passport in most EU countries.
