Process

We will go through the process of obtaining
a residence permit in France
for financially independent people

Receiving an application

The registration process begins with your application on the website through the “Let's discuss the details” form.

Free consultation

Once your application is received, Mircare will contact you to discuss your request and provide information about the program. As part of this consultation, you will be able to ask questions to the expert and learn all the features of document preparation.

Conclusion of an agreement

We work in strict accordance with the laws of France and the Russian Federation; for this we conclude a service agreement with you, in which we specify all stages of our work and the payment procedure. Upon conclusion of the contract, an advance payment of 50% is required.

Finding housing and registering children for school

First of all, after signing the contract, we search for housing if you don’t already have one. Our realtor will help you choose options according to the program rules and your wishes. Rental housing is issued for a year, paid monthly or immediately for 3 months. Also, to obtain a visitor visa, the school for children must be known. We help you select and enroll your child in the right educational institution.

Collection and preparation of documents

For successful registration you will need the following documents: – A letter of motivation explaining the reasons why the applicant and his family wish to live in France; – Foreign and internal passports; – Confirmation from the bank that there are sufficient funds in the account; – Agreement on the purchase or lease of real estate; – Marriage certificates (if the marriage is not registered, then applicants must submit separately); – Birth certificates of children (if any); – Certificate of no criminal record; - Medical insurance. This is a basic list, but French authorities may request additional documents. Forms must be filled out in English or French. Copies of documents from the country of residence are submitted in the original language with a notarized translation. We translate and certify all documents.

6 Submitting documents to the visa center

After paying the remaining 50% of the cost of services, we submit the documents to the visa center and wait for the approval of visa D. The application for a visa occurs from the home country or from countries where there is a work residence permit or permanent residence permit. Registration at the visa center sometimes requires additional time, as available slots are quickly filled.

FAQ

We are often asked
about residence permits in France
for financially independent people

What conditions must be met to obtain a residence permit for financially independent persons?

The candidate must be over 18 years of age and solvent. French authorities may refuse to issue a residence permit if the applicant has shown insufficient financial resources or provided false information.

Are there any housing requirements in France to obtain a residence permit?

You can buy or rent housing of any cost in any region of France. The minimum rental period is one year. Housing must have a minimum of 16 m² for two people, and an additional 9 m² for each additional family member. It is advisable for everyone to have their own room. We have realtors who can help you find housing remotely.

What are the requirements for proof of financial independence to obtain a residence permit?

You must have more than €12,000 per person in your French or other international bank account (€500 per person per month and €1,000 per family). You can provide statements from both Russian and foreign banks. An alternative option is to receive a stable income of 1,500 € per month per person. It is advisable to have several different sources of income: salary, rental property, deposits, fees, bank savings, etc.

Is knowledge of French required to obtain a residence permit?

To obtain a residence permit for financially independent people, you do not need to know French. But if you plan to permanently reside in France and obtain permanent residence, you will still need to learn French.

Do I need to live permanently in France to maintain my residence permit status?

No, not required. You can maintain your residence permit status even if you do not live in France permanently. But if you spend more than 183 days a year in France, you will become a tax resident. For those planning to obtain permanent residence or citizenship, it is recommended to live in France for most of the year. It is also important to spend at least 180 days a year in the EU to avoid problems with the renewal of a residence permit.

What documents are needed to confirm housing?

If you have your own home, you will need a certificate of ownership, paid accommodation tax and housing and communal services receipts for the last 3 months. If renting, then a lease agreement of 12 months and confirmation of payment of the 1st month and a security deposit.

  • Got a Portugal visa

Olga and Artem are happy holders of an annual visa.

The couple did not care which country they received Schengen, because they are experienced travelers, and they have already had Schengen from different countries.

We chose Portugal and were not disappointed, as visas were approved immediately for a year without any problems or difficulties.

  • received a US visa

There are already legends about the queues for a US visa in different countries, appointments for six months and a year in advance.

First, our visa manager monitored Kazakhstan for a month, then we switched to Malta - to no avail. It was possible to sign up only for Israel for August 2023.

The screenshot shows Narina’s reaction when we were able to re-record her for September 2022.

    Result: visa approved!
